Communicating with animals is easy to do and anyone can do it! The hardest part of communicating with animals is to quiet your own mind so that you can hear them. The easiest way to do this is to get into a meditative mind set. When starting, I found that soft gentle music with no words was the easiest way to drop into this space. Anyone who has meditated before knows that the first few times aren’t always easy and that is totally fine. It is after all, a practice.
If you have never meditated before, start by listening to some soft gentle music and just listen. See if you can simply just listen to the music without random thoughts running through your mind. If the thoughts do come up, simply let them go and refocus on the music. If you find yourself dozing off that is perfectly fine, you are headed in the right direction, relaxation is the key!
Once you can comfortably sit in meditation without the mind chatter is when you can call in the animal you’d like to communicate with. You can talk to any animal you wish, all you have to do is visualize them. Picture the animal until they come to you clearly, once you can feel them in your presence you can begin to communicate.
It’s important to remember to stay in the quiet mindset. If your mind starts to chatter with your own thoughts, you will no longer be able to hear the animal. If this happens just bring yourself back to a quiet mind, or focus on your breathing. Once your mind is silent you can try again. Once you ask the animal a question, the first thing that pops into your mind is usually their answer. Remember all animals are different, like people they may communicate in different ways, (this is where the “clairs” come in - more on this in my June blog post). Some animals will use words, others may use pictures or feelings to get their messages across to you – it just depends on them.
If you ask the animal a question and don’t get an answer right away, or you feel them sort of shy away from you, chances are they don’t want to talk about what you have asked. This is perfectly fine! Respect them and move on to another question or something else – don’t force them to talk about it. Communicating with animals is just like having a conversation with another human. You just have to be patient with yourself and not doubt the answers you receive. Remember communicating with animals comes easier to some than others, but with practice anyone can talk to animals!
